Do you listen to music while taking a shower?
I’m not sure how many of you listen to music while in the shower. Originally, I thought it was very few people but when I did an internet search I found quite a few things like the photo above. If you don’t, you can just consider this one of my rants. However, if you have any ideas, I would appreciate you letting me know.
I usually listen to music while I take a shower and I often run into shown in the photo above. Right in the middle of my shower when I’m all soaped up, the radio station I’m listening to plays a ton of commercials, or a DJ starts talking for what seems like forever, or the station plays a song I really hate. One time the radio station started covering a football game right in the middle of when I was taking a shower. I’ve tried a few different stations but it often ends up the same. It’s playing a great song when I start the shower but it often changes in the middle.
My radio is not in the shower, it’s next to the sink which is about 5 feet away from my shower (a little farther than the photo - plus my shower has glass walls). I tried using a radio in the shower. The first one I bought wasn’t REALLY waterproof - it started malfunctioning almost instantly. The 2nd one I accidentally hit and it fell to the floor and broke. I decided not to buy a 3rd one.
So, the radio is still by the sink and it’s a little to far away to reach and change the station, especially if I have soap in my eyes. Also, it will probably take me a few minutes to find a good station. It seems like when one station is playing commercials, I find that most of the other stations are also playing commercials. I’ve also noticed that when I play the radio while I’m in my car.
I tried switching to plan B. I played music through my phone (like in the photo). However, I have a lot of complete CDs on my phone. I don’t care how big a fan you are of a band, you won’t like EVERY SONG on their CDs. Some of the songs at the end of some CDs are pretty bad and those are the songs that end up playing. Even if I play the songs on shuffle it will often find a song that I don’t like right in the middle of the shower.
I’m not sure what plan C is. One friend suggested I subscribe to “Spotify” or one those other streaming music apps. However, I don’t think it worth paying for something like that when I’d only listen to it for 10 minutes (at most) a day.
It seems like my luck is really weird. When I need to stop driving my car for a minute so I can do something, I end up hitting all green lights. When I take a shower, I end up listening to things I don’t want to listen to on the radio.
If you have any suggestions for my plan C, I would appreciate it.
